Rail from Dynon, road across town
Melbourne's interstate containers go by rail through the Dynon Road terminal in West Melbourne. We book the truck that takes yours to Dynon, the rail leg, and the truck that meets it at the other end. A container going by rail has to carry a current CSC plate. Send a photo of it and we will confirm it before anything is booked. The detail is on our page about rail and the CSC plate.
A move that stays within Melbourne goes by road and needs no plate. A tilt tray carries a 20ft loaded up to 10 tonnes. Anything heavier, and any 40ft, is done by side loader.
