The prices shown are indicative, inc GST, for your own container, written from our live calculator on 2 October 2026. "From" is the lowest price across our sample suburbs in each city. Your own price depends on your two addresses, the weight and the access, and the calculator shows the range for your suburbs.
Direction matters on the Perth lanes. Between Perth and Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide, a container travelling west to Perth costs more than the same container travelling east out of Perth, so price the direction you are actually going.
The tables stop at the five cities and North Queensland. The calculator prices some regional centres too. A move between Perth and Kalgoorlie, and anything else it cannot price, is priced by hand within one business day.
Kewdale, and getting across town
Rail to and from the east runs through the Kewdale terminal. Your container is trucked between your site and Kewdale at the Perth end, and between the terminal and the door at the other. Because it is going by rail it needs a current CSC plate. We ask for a photo of the plate up front: here is why.
Staying in Perth, the container goes by road and the plate does not come into it. A 20ft up to 10 tonnes rides on a tilt tray. Heavier 20ft containers and every 40ft are done by side loader.
