How a Sydney job runs
Inside Sydney a container travels by road. Most 20ft containers loaded up to 10 tonnes go on a tilt tray, and heavier 20ft containers and 40ft moves are done by side loader. Road moves do not need a CSC plate.
Interstate containers leave Sydney by rail from the Chullora terminal. A truck collects the container from your site and delivers it to Chullora, it travels by rail, and a truck at the other end delivers it to the door. Containers for Mackay, Townsville and Cairns travel by rail too. Rail needs a current CSC plate, which we check from a photo before we book: see shipping containers by rail and the CSC plate.
